*YPDR does not discriminate based on race, creed, religion, gender, sex, sexual orientation, political leanings, national origin, age, or veteran status. Additionally, qualifications are guidelines for us, not hard and fast rules.

**YPDR has land that volunteers and interns may camp on in self-provided tents, as well as a communal space if volunteers/interns choose to sleep under a roof. We are a small organization working in a disaster zone and cannot afford hotels or apartments for our volunteers or interns. Meals will be provided three times a day, six days a week. Employees, volunteers, and interns are responsible for their own meals on Sundays.

***YPDR’s Internship Policy dictates that no intern may work without compensation. We believe that unpaid internships are a luxury of the socioeconomically advantaged, and to help level that playing field we require that unpaid interns receive course credit or a stipend from a third party, which has value and can be considered to be compensation in kind in absence of a traditional salary.
